The University of Arizona Wildcats’ football team had not problem plowing through South Carolina Saturday night to get to an easy 3-0 start to the new season.
Senior quarterback Matt Scott posted 288 yards on 30-of-36 passing and three touchdowns to lead No. 24 Arizona (3-0) past South Carolina State (1-2), 56-0 on Saturday night at Arizona.
Canyon Del Oro graduate Ka’Deem Carey had 13 carries for 71 yards on the night and one touchdown.
South Carolina’s defense struggled in all facets of the game, managing only eight first downs all night. Arizona’s defense held South Carolina to 154 total yards to earn the first shutout in four years.
