The football team (1-8) attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter against Glendale Community College but it was cut short as the Aztecs lost 35-17 on Saturday in Glendale. Pima dropped its 6th straight game.
The Aztecs cut it to 28-17 with 10:34 left in the fourth quarter but Glendale scored with about five minutes left to help seal it.
Alex Hanover (Calabasas HS, Calif.) and Dominic Moore (Santa Rita HS) each had a touchdown reception for the Aztecs. Joe Pizzuto (Lawrence HS, MA) had a 20-yard touchdown run and Adam Valenzuela (Cienega HS) hit a 25-yard field goal.
Pima will have a bye next week and will play on Nov. 3 at Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher at 6 p.m.
