The men’s soccer team (11-4-2) continued its winning ways defeating Phoenix College 3-1 on Thursday in Phoenix. The Aztecs are now on a 6-game winning streak.

Tyler Terrell (Barry Goldwater) scored two goals for the Aztecs in the 25th and 70th minutes. With the scored tied 1-1 at halftime, Terrell’s goal in the 70th gave Pima the lead for good. JC Henson’s (Buena HS) goal in the 82nd helped seal the win for the Aztecs. Henson also assisted in one of Terrell’s goals. Goalkeeper Tyler Wilson (Buena HS) finished with six saves for the game.

The Aztecs will close out the regular season next week with two games at the West Campus’ Aztecs Field. They have secured a spot in the NJCAA Region I Quarterfinals but their seeding has yet to be determined.

Pima will host Mesa Community College next Thursday at 1 p.m.
