PCC Men’s Basketball Carroll Drops 37 in Loss

The Pima Community College men’s basketball team (6-23, 1-20 in conference) came up short against Tohono O’Odham Community College on Tuesday in its 71-70 loss at the West Campus.

Terrance Carroll (Cordova HS, TN) kept the Aztecs in the game throughout scoring 37 points, going 12 for 20 from the field and 10-14 from 3-point range. Carroll tied the game at 67-67 with 1:20 left and after Joseph Monreal (Nogales HS) hit three free throws the Aztecs led 70-69 with 26 seconds left. Tohono O’Odham got to the foul line and retook the lead at 71-70 with 12 seconds left. The Aztecs turned the ball over as time ran out. Monreal finished the game with 12 points. Carroll had 17 points after the first half and the Aztecs led 33-26 at the break.

The Aztecs will close out its season at Cochise College on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
