A 10K run and half-marathon unfold for the second year on Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Gladden Farms Community Park in Marana.
The event is sponsored by the Gladden Farms Community Association.
Runners and walkers move along the bike paths and sidewalks in Gladden Farms as well as roadways in Marana.
Residents of Gladden Farms have formed many groups and clubs, including a Monday night, family-friendly 5K walking group. The weekly 5K has "inspired many community members to commit to a healthy lifestyle and set a positive example for their families and friends," said Jennifer Lynn, event organizer.
"Some of the runners and walkers from our core group have decided they wanted to step up to a new challenge. Our 10K/half-marathon will provide a challenge for all," she added.
Registration, at $5 per person, opens at 7 a.m. that Saturday, with racing at 8.
