PCC Women’s Basketball Hit 10 3-Pointers in Win

The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (13-12, 9-7 in conference) defeated Phoenix College 84-75 on Wednesday in Phoenix as the Aztecs hit 10 3-pointers for the game and had four players score in double figures. The Aztecs led 46-39 at halftime.

A’jha Edwards (Tombstone HS) led the Aztecs with a team-high 24 points and 11 rebounds. Felicia Foster (Peoria HS) went 4 for 7 from three-point range and finished with 15 points. Ashlei Scott (Chandler HS) contributed with 13 points, four assists and four steals. She had one three-point basket while Alyssa Roche (Cienega HS) went 3 for 4 from outside the arc and finished the game with 10 points. DJ Davis (Tolleson HS), this week’s ACCAC Division II Player of the Week, had nine points and went 2 for 5 in three pointers.

The Aztecs will be back on the road on Saturday when they travel to Scottsdale Community College. The game will start at 6 p.m.
