Sun Tran will offer limited shuttle service to University of Arizona 2012 home football games.

The City of Tucson’s Department of Transportation will be operating limited shuttle service to meet the needs of the many community members, including senior and disabled passengers, who regularly utilize the football shuttle service. Sun Tran will operate its service with fewer buses, meaning passengers may have longer waits.

Passengers can park and ride from Hi Corbett Field, located at 22nd Street and Randolph Way. Passengers should park on the east side of the baseball field. Shuttle parking is free.

Round-trip full-fare will be $3, while round-trip half-fares will be $1.50 for seniors 65 years of age or older, persons with disabilities, and Medicare cardholders. Children five years-old and younger ride free. While round-trip fares remain unchanged from last year’s football shuttle, passengers should be aware of a new token policy in effect this season. Customers will receive two tokens when paying the round-trip fare, one for each trip. A token will be required to board the bus for the return trip from the stadium.

Shuttles will begin departing for the stadium two hours before game time and run continuously until kick-off. Passengers will arrive in front of Arizona Stadium on 6th Street, just steps from the entrance. Riders may begin boarding on 6th Street at the beginning of the fourth quarter to return to their original pick-up location. Buses will run for approximately 45 minutes after the game ends.

Passengers can visit www.suntran.com or call Sun Tran’s Customer Service Center at (520) 792-9222 (for persons with hearing and speech impairments who have TDD equipment, call 520-628-1565) for details on the limited shuttle service.

For Sun Tran shuttle information, call (520) 792-9222 (TDD: 628-1565) or visit www.suntran.com.

This is a wonderful service, but why don't you charge a higher fee so you can continue the same great service. Adding a dollar isn't going to hurt anyone.
