A late rally by the Mountain View Mountain Lions proved not enough when they were defeated 60-56 by the Tucson Badgers on Tuesday night.

Despite tying the game a few times throughout, the Mountain Lions never held a lead, and turnovers proved to be the deciding factor in the loss.

The Mountain Lions were led by Sam Thompkins and Jake Fleetwood, who scored 10 each, and Danny Burrows, who added eight.

With the loss, the Mountain Lions' chances at a playoff spot remain undetermined, and will depend largely on the outcome of tomorrow's game against Sunnyside.

The top 24 teams in each division advance to sectional play.
