The Pima Community College men’s soccer team (9-6, 9-6 in conference) scored five goals in the first half and shared the ball on offense in its 7-1 win over GateWay Community College on Thursday at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex in Phoenix.

The Aztecs produced seven different goal scorers. Arturo Vega (Salpointe Catholic HS) got the Aztecs on the board with his goal in the 5th minute. Alexis Medina (Nogales HS), Christian Garcia-Cabello (Salpointe Catholic HS), JC Henson (Buena HS) and Anthony Alvarez (Sunnyside HS) rounded out the first half scoring as Pima took a 5-0 advantage into the break.

Aldo de Cima (Copper Canyon HS) and Jose Alberto Rivera (Tucson Magnet HS) scored goals of their own in the second half to help the Aztecs pull away.
