The Tucson Padres scored five runs in the last three innings but it was not enough,
as the T-Pads lost 7-6 to the Round Rock Express Wednesday at the Dell Diamond. The
Padres scored the first run of the game when Jeremy Hermida hit a solo home run in
the second inning. The Express jumped in front in the bottom of the second, scoring
five runs on six hits against Tucson starter Bear Bay.
Round Rock's Leonys Martin added another run in the sixth with a home run to right
center field. Julio Borbon fell a home run shy of a cycle, going 3-for-5 with an RBI
for the Express. The Padres scored three times in the top of seventh, when Jedd
Gyorko singled home Andy Parrino from second and Sawyer Carroll drove in two of his
own on a single to right field. Tucson added two more in the eighth on RBI hits by
Gyorko and Anthony Contreras.
Round Rock starter Greg Reynolds pitched seven innings, allowing four runs, four
hits, and three walks. He earned his ninth win and Yoshinori Tateyama saved his
