The Tucson Padres have announced their home dates for the 2013 season at Kino Stadium. The 72 game home schedule starts Friday, April 12 against the San Francisco Giants Triple-A affiliate, the Fresno Grizzlies. The opening homestand continues through Friday, April 19 when the Padres host the Salt Lake Bees, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
The Padres will host four teams that did not appear at Kino Stadium in 2012 – the Albuquerque Isotopes (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate), New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins affiliate), Oklahoma City RedHawks (Houston Astros affiliate) and Round Rock Express (Texas Rangers affiliate). The Padres will also play eight games against the Arizona Diamondbacks Triple-A affiliate, the Reno Aces. An entire list of home dates is below.
In addition to Opening Night, other top games include July Fourth against the Las Vegas 51s (Toronto Blue Jays affiliate), Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12 vs. Round Rock and Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16 vs. Reno.
"We are thrilled about our 2013 schedule," said Mike Feder, Tucson Padres Vice President and General Manager. "With a lot of home weekend dates and home games on July Fourth, Father's Day and Mother's Day, we expect great crowds throughout the summer."
