TUCSON, Ariz. – Questions and answers with freshman Paige Crouch from Sacramento, Calif.

Why did you decide to come to Arizona?

“I decided to come to Arizona because we have a great soccer program and I absolutely love the campus. It’s amazing. I wanted to get out of California. I’m originally from Sacramento and when I visited here it was welcoming and I love it.”

What do you hope to bring to the team?

“A different aspect of playing. Hopefully, some goals since I’m a forward.”

How do you feel preseason has been going?

“Preseason has been going pretty well. We have mostly been working on defending and attacking. It’s been pretty crazy since we have 33 players on our roster. We’ve all been working really hard so I’m excited.”

Why does the sport of soccer suit your personality?

“I am very energetic so it’s 90 minutes of running. I like the aspect of being on a team and helping each other for one goal.”

What was your first impression of Coach Amato?

“He is very straight forward and I like that. He doesn’t beat around the bush and he tells us how he really feels. He’s a great coach.”

What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming season?

“I’m excited to bond with the team and win some games together. I want to go far in the season and do well.”
