Last March, the Town of Oro Valley launched a Dine Oro Valley campaign – a spin-off of the Town’s existing Shop Oro Valley campaign and business retention and Expansion Program. Each month the Town Council randomly selects an Oro Valley restaurant, meets with the restaurant’s owner and then dines together. Each Councilmember personally pays for his/her own meal.
“As a locally-owned restaurant doing business in the same location for over 15 years, we support the Town of Oro Valley, as they support businesses such as Metropolitan Grill,” said general manager Jeffrey S. Auman. “We think “Dine Oro Valley” is a great program and are honored to be able to take part.”
The next Dine Oro Valley event will be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Metropolitan Grill – America’s Kitchen, 7892 N. Oracle Road.
“The Dine Oro Valley Campaign has been a great addition to the Town’s business retention tool box. The Town is receiving a positive response from business owners – those who have been selected and those who are waiting patiently to be selected,” said Vice-Mayor Lou Waters.
