Arizona Illustrated, Southern Arizona’s week-night news magazine series for over 30 years, and the flagship local TV production for Arizona Public Media (AZPM,) has undergone a make-over. The new AZ Illustrated (pronounced A-Z-Illustrated) debuts in its regular week-night time slot at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013. The new AZ Illustrated features different hosts and topics each night – Metro, Science, Nature, Arts and Politics – offering insight and discussion relevant to Southern Arizona audiences. Tapping into the wealth of talent and experience of AZPM’s award-winning producers, reporters, and production team, while introducing new specialists from the community, the series will feature new voices, new stories and a new focus.

Some said it couldn’t be done, that his goals were unrealistic.

The Tucson Museum of Art is proud to continue the tradition of supporting the arts in Arizona by highlighting many of the talented artists working in the state.  Considered the longest running juried biennial in Arizona, the Arizona Biennial 2011 is on exhibit at the Tucson Museum of Art, 140 N. Main Ave. in downtown Tucson, now through Oct. 2.

On Jan. 11, Willcox High School lost not only a portion of its classrooms but the materials necessary to help instructors teach.

Last Saturday, the parking lot on the east side of Foothills Mall was roped off for bands, booths and most importantly, beer, all brought together to raise money for charity.

Farmers' Market to make buzz about bees

"Icons of Experience: An Anniversary Show," a celebratory exhibition featuring "the classical, yet mysterious and brilliantly moody oil paintings" of Arizona artist William Blomquist, is on display at Jane Hamilton Fine Art through Sunday, April 4.
