The American Red Cross and Town of Marana are hosting a blood drive June 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marana Municipal Complex (11555 W. Civic Center Drive).

Daniel A. Dutil, Sr., age 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 28, 2013. Dan was born in Lewiston, Maine on July 1, 1951, to the late Robert E. Dutil and Elaine S. Vail. He was retired from the United States Air Force.

After 14-year-old Austin Thacker, of Legacy Traditional School , was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Diffused Mature B Cell Lymphoma, fellow students and the community have come together to make things a little easier on the family. 

Hawkeye Richardson begins telling a story about a prehistoric shark from 20 million years ago. He explains that this shark, when it was alive, was the size of a semi tractor-trailer measuring in around 50 feet long and weighing 50,000 pounds. From a felt pouch, he slid out a palm-sized fossilized tooth belonging to one of those sharks, which was available to be held and touched.
