The Marana Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its seventh opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to Target on the corner of Ina and Thornydale roads on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for this free and anonymous service.

The events are at Target on the corner of Ina and Thornydale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The issue of illegal immigration is wrought with strong emotions and political divisiveness – no one understands this more than the citizens of Arizona. Yet, legal immigration has also played an undeniably important role in the shaping of our nation’s history and culture; many of us owe our present American identity to immigrants from a not-so-distant ancestry. I see no reason for tension between our heritage of welcoming immigrants and our bedrock commitment to upholding the rule of law.

The Arizona Correctional Peace Officers Association (AZCPOA) formally endorsed Sheriff Paul Babeu for re-election. The labor organization represents 2,500 correction officers throughout Arizona, and many reside in Pinal County with their families.
