Though Camp Conquistador will not be offered this summer, kids wishing to attend tennis camp at the El Conquistador Resort and Country Club may still do so.

Northwest Medical Center welcomes former Olympic gold medalist Shannon Miller to Tucson on Thursday, Feb. 28, as keynote speaker for its annual Healthy Woman Anniversary event held at the Hilton El Conquistador at 10000 N. Oracle Road. This registration-only event begins at 5:30 p.m. and features food, wine and health education.

The Arizona Distance Classic, planned in Oro Valley this March, is aiming to do more than just get people fit. With the announcement of a new partnership, the Arizona Distance Classic has teamed up with a local elementary school to raise funds for the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial Foundation.

El Conquistador Golf Club at the award-winning Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort has a reputation in Tucson for providing fun, scenic golf in a resort setting. Growing up as an only child in a musical family, Michael Veres knew Beethoven and Bach before he happened on to Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd.  His father is a retired Orchestra Director, Laslo Veres, and his mother a former singer with the Tucson Opera Company; now a voice teacher.  One would think that Michael’s passion would be in performing arts, but instead he loves to cook and started doing so as a child.  

Cheers erupted throughout Golden Pin Lanes on Friday, Oct. 26, as high school students from the Coronado Area competed in bowling for the Special Olympics.
