I have a pet peeve. Who am I kidding? I have many of them, actually, but today I’m focusing on just the one. It pertains to my children. Yet, when we pick them up from Sunday School, we hear reports of snacks that were given out. And I’m not talking about something healthy like a handful of grapes or a segment of orange. I’m talking about powdered donuts or cookies or packaged cereal bars—food imposters laden with sugar and preservatives.

On Tuesday, June 11, at 9:35 p.m., officers from Operations Division West responded to a report of a shooting at Mansfield Park located at 2000 North 4th Avenue. Having to dribble two basketballs at the same time proved to be a challenge for most of the third through fifth grade boys and girls who attended the first week of the Ironwood Ridge High School basketball camp last week.
