This Monday, Oct. 6, is the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 4 general election, according to the office of Pima County Recorder F. Ann Rodriguez.

Unregistered voters who wish to cast ballots in the May 19 election for the town of Marana must register by this Monday, April 20, according to a release from Pima County Recorder F. Ann Rodriguez.

More than a quarter of Pima County’s 478,000 registered voters have signed up for inclusion on the Permanent Early Voting List.

Election Day no longer has the same meaning with more and more voters taking advantage of the early-ballot option.

Pima County Recorder F. Ann Rodriguez would like to remind voters that today at midnight is the cut-off to register to vote in the Nov. 8 elections, which include the City of Tucson general election as well as elections in six area school districts, including Marana and Flowing Wells.

Phoenix – With overwhelming bipartisan support from Arizona’s election community, legislation to correct issues that arose during the 2012 general election needs to be approved by the Legislature.

Recently, the United States Postal Service announced cuts in service that include shutting down the Tucson Mail Processing Center in addition to other regional processing centers and post offices throughout the country. One of the justifications asserted by the United States Postal Service is that the elimination of the Tucson plant will cause only a slight delay for delivery of first class mail in Pima County. The post office claims that the current service level is one business day for delivery of first class mail and that the proposed changes will result in delivery time increasing to two business days.
