Pima Community College is being commended by the Higher Learning Commission for the “great progress” it has made in assessing student learning, one of the critical areas that the agency uses to accredit the college.

The Higher Learning Commission will be visiting Tucson in January to investigate allegations that have been made against Pima Community College.

Hart is currently the president of Temple University and has served as president of the University of New Hampshire and provost and vice president for academic affairs at Claremont Graduate University. Her prior appointments also include professor of educational leadership, dean of the Graduate School and special assistant to the president at the University of Utah.

Nov. 10, 2004 - Marana's town clerk began distributing nomination papers Nov. 8 to those interested in running for a seat on the council; but if Marana residents follow the trend set in the last two elections few - if any - will challenge the four incumbents up for re-election.
