David Savitt, an associate professor in the University of Arizona Department of Mathematics, has been chosen to receive the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor the U.S. government bestows upon science and engineering professionals who are in the early stages of their independent research careers.

Whether or not you are interested in gaming, the name Electronic Arts (EA) will definitely ring a bell. The company has been responsible for creating, marketing, and publishing some of the most popular videogame franchises of all time. Madden, FIFA, Battlefield, Dragon Age, the list of successful titles under the EA banner is quite exhaustive and impressive.

Governor Jan Brewer today announced the appointment of Edward “Pat” Madden to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission. Mr. Madden has been appointed for a five-year term, effective January 21, 2013.
