Arizona Sen. John McCain introduced a new bill, the Television Consumer Freedom Act, that let the customers choose the channels in their subscription. 

The online streaming industry is growing and growing every year. Standing at the forefront of this online explosion is Netflix, the well known provider of both online streaming of thousands of different programs ranging from movies, to T.V. shows, and documentaries as well as in home, through the mail deliveries of their content. Netflix began the road to online kingship back in 1997, when the company began as a traditional through the mail provider. By 1999 the company had introduced a monthly subscription policy and now operates on both monthly payment and unlimited online streaming. Over the past decade or so, Netflix has found its way into the homes of many families, college students, and anyone else who enjoys video entertainment. Netflix has been able to stand amongst the forefront of much of the development of the in-home and delivery movie craze, but this rise to the top has not been one without trials and setbacks.

It’s no secret that our teenage daughters are under stress to look a certain way, dress a certain way, wear a certain amount of makeup and given societal pressures, be obsessed with weight.

Although his career is entering its fourth decade, “Weird Al” Yankovic is far from hanging up his accordion. The world’s biggest selling comedy recording artist in history is currently spending his time working on a new album, releasing episodes of his new web series, and beginning the second leg of his international “Alpocalypse Tour.”

Music Television (MTV) was launched on Aug. 1, 1981. Long before the evolution of internet or computers as we now see them today. MTV quickly emerged as the primary source to watch music videos. It was a channel that revolutionized television and changed the music industry forever. Before MTV, people had a much lesser idea about the visual aspects of the artists they listened to. The only way a listener could see an artist was to purchase tickets to a live show or stumble across their pictures on a cd cover booklet, magazine, or vinyl gatefold. This would soon change as MTV was able to utilize television to put the artists in broad daylight for the viewing public. "Video killed the radio star" was the phrase of the time, as the appearance of the artist quickly began to take a bigger role in the music industry. Popular music itself began to change, because people not only wanted good music, but also attractive people playing it. This has always been true, but MTV brought physical appearance to the forefront of the music industry.
