After a March election that demonstrated overwhelming support for a town-owned wastewater treatment facility, members of the Marana Citizen’s Forum are looking at the next logical step forward for this session’s topic – the development of North Marana.

After receiving the final petition signatures required, Oro Valley’s town limits will be expanded to include 107 acres of unincorporated land northwest of Oracle and Ina roads.

Two chambers of commerce in the Northwest — Marana Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce — are celebrating milestone anniversaries this year, not by reveling in past, but by looking toward what they might accomplish in the future.

Leading to the Town of Oro Valley’s recent adoption of the 2012-2013 fiscal year budget, a new addition to this year’s final tally is $25,000 in funding for the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce, previously known as the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce.

The Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce is going back to its roots.

Oro Valley residents had another chance to hear from the six Oro Valley candidates running for the Town Council during the final candidate forum on Feb. 29.

On its website, The Flavor of India lunch buffet is described as a “roller coaster in your mouth.” Now, that can leave a person a little apprehensive to try at first, but you leave with a full stomach and pleased with the adventure you just took.

The Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce is giving residents another opportunity to meet with the six candidates running for three seats on the Oro Valley Town Council.

Oro Valley residents had the opportunity to hear from the six candidates running for Town Council, when Sun City hosted a forum on Feb. 18.

Now that the mid-term election process has begun, I am frequently asked, “Who should I support?” As your Mayor, I will not publically support any particular candidate, but there are some important questions to consider when making your selection.
