If the best way to delay the effects of Alzheimer’s and dementia was to enrich one’s mind with new knowledge, then some of the residents at Splendido would not have to worry about those ailments for quite some time.

(NAPSI)—The Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Labor are teaming up on a program to provide retraining and employment assistance for up to 99,000 unemployed veterans, ages 35 to 60, to prepare them for high-demand jobs.

Among the many activities and initiatives supported by SaddleBrooke Community Outreach (SBCO), two programs are specifically designed to support the education of youth within its service area.  The SBCO Scholarship Program provides scholarships for students attending an accredited post-secondary institution and the Educational Enrichment Program provides small grants to assist educational and community organizations in programs designed to meet SBCO’s mission

The Community Food Bank's Youth Farm Project will conduct two programs aimed at giving participants a greater understanding of food resources.

Sept. 29, 2004 - Adrianna Serbousek noticed her unborn baby was no longer moving inside her, so she went to see her doctor. He performed an emergency caesarean section, surgically removing the baby from her uterus. The child was born, eight weeks early, with blood clogging her throat.
