Chef Gordon Ramsay is known in many households as an ornery man with a sharp tongue and a quick temper, poking and prodding at every instance of dissatisfaction he can find in a kitchen. Ramsay is best known for his shows, Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. Hell's Kitchen places contestants in a team based competition in which the greatest chefs rise to the top while the cooks fall by the wayside. Kitchen Nightmares places Chef Ramsay, who has an astonishing fifteen Michelin Stars, in failing restaurants with the mission to turn the establishments around. Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares have been runaway successes in both The United States and The U.K.

Those are just some of the reasons that Arizona is ranked number 10 in the country for bicycle friendliness by the League of American Bicyclists in their annual survey. The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (13-12, 9-7 in conference) defeated Phoenix College 84-75 on Wednesday in Phoenix as the Aztecs hit 10 3-pointers for the game and had four players score in double figures. The Aztecs led 46-39 at halftime.

On Dec.30, 2012, a suspect illegally gained access to a locker and stole two credit cards from a member at a local LA Fitness gym. The theft was discovered and reported later that same day.

Over the weekend, golf legend Phil Mickelson told reporters ‘drastic changes’ are ahead for him because of high taxes in his home state of California. In November, voters there raised the state sales tax and increased taxes on high-achievers. Mickelson estimated he is now paying more than 60% of his income in taxes.

Following a swearing-in ceremony for the re-elected Bob Stump, and the newly elected Bob Burns and Susan Bitter Smith, members of the Arizona Corporation Commission today voted to name Bob Stump as Chairman of the Commission. Stump has served on the Commission since 2009 and his term as Chairman will be two years.

The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (7-7) held off Parkland College in the second half to win 64-58 on Saturday in the final matchup of the Bruce Fleck Classic at the West Campus’ Aztec Gym. The Aztecs went 3-0 for the tournament and are currently on a 5-game winning streak.
