    I love the character of Superman, and although he may not be my favorite comic-book hero I still admire what he symbolizes and his rich pop culture history. So needless to say, I had very lofty expectations for Man of Steel, the latest movie redux of the Superman mythos. Unfortunately, my dreams of an exciting reboot of the film franchise, one that might potentially lead to aJustice League movie, have been laid lower than an ant in the miniature city of Kandor.

  7. article OVPD responds to apparent homicide-suicide in Sun City

    On April 9, 2013, the Oro Valley Police Department responded to the 13000 block of North Tom Ryans Way (Sun City). Officers were sent to the residence after receiving an emergency 911 phone call requesting a welfare check. Forced entry was made into the residence where two individuals were found deceased. The individuals are identified as Clarence R. Shaub (male, age 78) and Doris J. Shaub (female, age 76). Evidence indicates the incident is a homicide-suicide. Detectives are actively investigating.
