Foothills Mall, the popular regional shopping and entertainment center located in northwest Tucson, announced today Coach Factory Store, the leading American marketer of fine accessories and gifts including handbags, small leather goods, footwear, watches, scarves and sunglasses, among other famed merchandise lines, will open a limited-time-only “pop-up” location at the mall exclusively for the summer 2014 season.

There was a good turnout at Thunder Canyon Brewery last week as a number of Northwest-area residents and business representatives joined staff of The Explorer Newspaper for the monthly Sippin’ Social, which takes place at various locations on the third Thursday of each month.
Currently, the Thunder Canyon Brewery’s beer menu includes the Dark Lightening Milk Stout, which was ordered with the Super Sampler.
As fall approaches, numerous breweries place their Oktoberfest brews on tap.

Hotel Congress presents a celebration of all-local brews featuring a "people's choice" vote for best brew in Tucson. This year's Born & Brewed event features 10 breweries: Dragoon, Barrio, Nimbus Company, Borderlands, Thunder Canyon Brewery, 1702, and new comers Sentinel Peak Brewing Company and Ten 55 Brewing. Born & Brewed will also welcome Four Peaks Brewery from Phoenix, and Dave's Electric from Bisbee, who will offer samples but not be part of the competition. Brew Your Own Brew will also be present as well as Yelp Tucson as a sponsor of the competition and great music and food, including a pretzel buffet--house-made soft pretzels with all the fixin's and toppings--at Cup Café.

The Northwest Firefighters are gearing up for their second
annual “Home Brew Challenge,” with firefighters from Oro Valley,
Tucson, Marana and as far away as Sedona preparing their own
special concoctions for competition.

competing in the Second Annual Oktoberfest, complete with a

Last Saturday, the parking lot on the east side of Foothills
Mall was roped off for bands, booths and most importantly, beer,
all brought together to raise money for charity.
