With the pending sequester, or mandatory budget cuts slated to go into effect on March 1 if Congress doesn't act, the White House went to the public Monday, announcing what the cuts would mean to each state, including Arizona.

According to a USA Today report, President Barack Obama will meet with Treasury Department officials at the White House on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing investigation into the Internal Revenue Service allegedly scrutinizing Tea Party groups' applications for tax-exempt status.
Copper Creek Elementary School’s third-grader Charlie Allard decided, for a class project, to send his Flat Stanley to the White House. Last month, his Flat Stanley came back with photos and a letter.
